Pear and plum still life

Plum and Pear

6″ x 6″ oil on canvas

The plum looked so good with this pear that I couldn’t resist painting it in color. Actually it was labeled as a plucot.

This is beautiful. I first thought it was an avacado and pit! Interesting choice of colors, but it works!

Gorgeous color on that plum/cot, and those touches of soft red on the pear are delicious.

Excellent color combo! I like how you kept the red/purple of the plucot transparent. Really grabs me.

Now that I’m comment #8, I sound so un-original but here it is anyway- I LOVE these colors! So very beautiful and appealing in its’ loose and free rendering.
You found a way to make pink look so perfectly un-sissyfied!
