  1. Good to see you are out on the streets again. Nice piece. Once you settle into doing street scenes, think of the world of paintings awaiting you.

  2. Hi Bill. I’ve enjoyed doing these street scenes but I wouldn’t mind some sun shine to paint in.

Ronell, nice to hear from you. I don’t know why I’m so attracted to these pitiful places. It’s all a challenge to me.

  3. Bill, what is the name of the paint color you used on the garage doors? It affects me emotionally to look at it! On some kind of intense gut level. I’m so impressed with painters who make dreary, ordinary objects or places glow!

  4. Sharon, I would call that color pea green. I’m not surprised it gives you a feeling in your gut 🙂 I mixed it using pthalo blue, cadmium lemon and titanium white. I probably mixed in some red to bring the chroma down.

  5. This has a good sense of presence of the location that I like. I think the overlap of the corner of the near building and the background creates a feeling of atmosphere, that may be responsible for this.
