    Really like this one — nice balance of all the elements it takes for a good plein air painting…especially the pop of the red dumpster — the obvious focus of the piece. I struggle with those focal points sometimes, opting to go for overall interest, when it’s better to lead the eye like you’ve done here. Well done, nice sky transition & value too…

    Makes the dumpster have star qualities.

  3. Kathy, Very nice to hear from you. I’ve noted that you’re spending a lot of your time in the saddle lately instead of the easel. I could never get comfortable sharing the road with cars so have pretty much given it up, myself. Looking forward to seeing the new work you’ve mentioned on your blog.
