Palisades at the Clarno Unit

7″ x 5″ oil on panel

North Central Oregon has a lot of these volcanic rock formations called Palisades. This one is in the Clarno Unit near the Painted Hills. I hope to get back over there soon to do some more painting, if for no other reason than just to see the sun. It’s been a gloomy, dreary, wet spring in the North West and I’d really like to see my shadow again.
